If you are a stock trader you might have made money using Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) as an instrument of the trade. If you were someone jumping on the band wagon at the wrong time, say GOOG at $750 -- I feel your pain.

Keep top 93%, drop lowest 7%, hire 7% new workforce. When they say this in a conference call, i'm not convinced they are investor friendly.

My bet is that the market has set a short term bottom and Goog seems to be a good play at least through the next 6 weeks and so I will start my SocialPicks position at this point. Long term I really like Goog and expect it to be a good performer. I thought it would follow the broader market and held back waiting for a bit of a fall.
